OttoKart (OpenCV Self-Driving Golf Cart)

OttoKart is a computer vision controlled golf cart that runs off a webcam and Arduino setup off a personal laptop. Utilizing different sections of the camera’s input, OttoKart is able to steer itself down VikingTrail on Berry’s campus. The code to decipher ROIs (Regions of Interest) and make decisions was programmed in Processing and the Arduino IDE. We tested the OpenCV programming in Processing with a smaller version called the OttoBot. Our best distance from scaling up the OttoBot code with the OttoKart was 757 feet. Created for Zane Cochran's Fall 2021 CRT330 - Vehicles class.
